KPW - Fixed Wheel Pulpwood Transport

This wagon was a "one off". It was converted in the late 1960's and out of service by 1974.

It was believed to have been used in the Western District of Victoria. It was for pulpwood traffic. What is unusual is that there were already wagons running for pulpwood use, classed _KT_. Perhaps the traffic was handloaded pulwood from Colac. The side gates suggest transverse loading.

The wagon was in storage from 1974 to 1979 when it was probably scrapped in a cleanup. As the vehicle identification had been obliterated by weathering, there would have been identification and the scrapping record would not be positive.
