KPC - 'Prestige' Container Wagon

To transport product from the "Prestige" fabric mills at Ararat, five wagons were used to carry special company containers. The wagons were coded KPC, the "P" indicating "Prestige".

The wagons were numbered 501 - 505. They were converted from short wheelbase wagons between 1963 and 1971.

The traffic was between Ararat and the West Footscray goods yard.

They were out of service by the 1980's.
