NWS Newport Workshops
The 1st _AE_ 34 caught fire on a train in 1912. The body was destroyed but the underframe was re-used and a new body built.
As the history shows, the car was in the workshops for nearly two years before being re-issued as a "Buffet Car". Two years later in 1939, the car was named "Taggerty".
