AJ - Joint Stock First Class Carriage
For the "Overland" train, new stainless steel cars entered service
in 1951 to replace ageing wooden bodied stock built in the mid
1900's.
Two First Class sitting cars were placed into service in 1951.
They were coded AJ and numbered 1 and 2.
Car AJ 3 was placed into service in 1962.
