VCCX - Coil Steel Transport

In 1987 the VOSX class were recoded to VCCX. In this year a recoding of all steel carrying wagons took place.

VOSX 1 to 30 were relettered to VCCX 1 to 30.

The VCCX wagons were used to transport coil steel in cradles.

With the establishment of NRC, the VCCX wagons were reclassed to RCCX, same numbers. This occurred during the middle of 1994. NRC records show a VCCX 64 ex VCSX 64. This appears to have been an incorrect recoding.
