Buffet Car - Moorabool

The Buffet Car 'Moorabool' was placed into service during 1939. It was also known as Buffet Car 4.

Through the 1970's to the 1980's the car ran on the 'The Gipplander', a Melbourne to Bairnsdale limited express service.

By 1984 the car was assigned to the 'Train of Knowledge', an educational venue for students to visit various primary production and manufacturing centres of Victoria with trips spanning about a week. The colour scheme whilst on this train was cherry red with a light brown roof.

By 1988 it had been modified for use as a dance car.

In March 1989, the car was reclassed to _RS_ 234, with the name 'Moorabool' retained.
